Updates on the New Cedar Park Library

Julia Mitschke has served the City of Cedar Park as Library Director since 2015. As Library Director, she is responsible for overseeing the operations of the city library, including a collection of over 196,000 digital and physical materials, the current 25,500 square foot facility, the design of the future library facility, extensive library programs, and 27employees in the areas of Administration, Circulation, Public Services, Technical Services and Youth Services. Prior to her current position, Mitschke was employed at the Cedar Park Public Library as Operations Manager (2010-2015), Children’s Services Librarian (2008-2010), Public Services Librarian (2007-2008), and Children’s Library Assistant (2006-2007).

Mitschke holds a Master of Science in Information Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the American Library Association and the Texas Library Association. She is the Library’s liaison to the Cedar Park Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Cedar Park Public Library.
